This clover meadows throw is really luxurious. It is just the right color for a spring item but I am sure it will keep you warm during the coldest of months. I love the border applied to this design. It really gives it a big finished look.

From what I can see from the picture and reading the written directions this is a beautiful afghan. With this pattern I would recommend printing out the pattern this way you have the how to do the stitch guide up front. I fell it will come out just the way its written and I have it on my bucket list of must make.. The color is perfect for my Grand Daughters bed room and will be a great Christmas gift. Thank you so much for this Beautiful Free pattern for the Blush Rose Afghan.

@Cheryl Y Thanks so much for the compliments. It really is quite stunning. Stop by with a photo when you finish. We would love to see it. :) -Kaylee, Editor of FaveCrafts

It is hard to follow the written directions, unless you have had lots of practice reading a crochet pattern. Do you have a diagram for this pattern??

@lndcarol 1573138 There's not a full diagram for the project, but there is a stitch diagram over on the Red Heart site if that helps: http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/blushing-rose-afghan -Kaylee, Editor of FaveCrafts

I'm also having a really hard time understanding the directions on this pattern. So far after 2 hours, I am still experimenting and ripping out rows 1 and 2, so I decided to ask the experts. The Petal is 3 ch and a DC. Does the first DCL start in the next stitch after the DC? Also, in the description of the row 1 DCL, it states that the steps within the brackets be done "twice all in same ch as last cluster." What exactly is the "last cluster?" Then I also don't understand that last item on row 1 "the last leg of the DCL." Any help appreciated. I'm stumped.

Don't know if this will help or not, but on the Red Heart site there is a stitch diagram at the bottom. The link to the Red Heart site's pattern is :http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/blushing-rose-afghan

I am so confused on this pattern. Do you skip 3 ch between each DCL and petal on first row? Also what is meant by the last leg of last DCL when ending the row?

Thank you for your questions! We checked the original source and there didn't seem to be anything different. We recommend contacting Red Heart for clarification or posting this on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/favecrafts). Perhaps one of our readers can help you out! Thanks again and let us know how it goes!

I just tried this pattern today with Caron Simply Soft yarn and couldn't manage to get the pattern right. Going to try again with regular worsted yarn and see if I can get the pattern correctly. I crochet all the time and consider myself intermediate but this one has me stumped!!

@operamartc Let us know how it goes!

I must be doing something wrong--at the end of each row there seem to be too many stitches...the afghan is growing in width with each row. Help! It is so pretty--I really don't want to give up.

I had the same problem with another project. I realized that I was accidentally adding in extra stitches. You have to kind of watch and maybe even count across as you go to see where you are adding them in. It is tough but a learning experience - at least it was for me.

Very Good (Excelen

you don't state total yardage for this pattern and there are several (more than 1) size of Super Saver yarn (regular, economy, jumbo) all with different yardages. Can you clarify please. This is a lovely pattern, but I don't know if I have enough yarn I need to complete it. thanks, Pam

On the Red Heart website, the only size Light Raspberry comes in is Super Saver Economy. The yardage, taken from their site, is 7 oz and approx. 364 yds (333 m) per skein

To see a larger photo, right click on the picture, then click 'view image'. That will open a window with the photo, then when you put your mouse over it, a magnifying glass will appear. Click it, and you will get a good view of the afghan. I've tried this on several. Sometimes it doesn't work, sometimes it does. I love this site, too.

I couldn't find anything in the upper or lower right hand corner to enlarge it, but I did figure out another way to view a 3-1/2 X 4-1/2 size picture. Click on write mail, then right click on the picture of the afghan, and drag it to the wirte mail space, then right click the mouse and select resize picture, slide arrow to the right and select increase by 100%, and then at the top right corner of that mail page select maximize and it will increse it to the size I mentioned.

Usually if you do 'print preview' you get an entirely different view of picture and pattern. In this screen you can change the size of the items. My options are listed above the item.

Well thank you sunnymcnair22 - I can hardly believe I didn't know that - wow - learn something new every day!!! Because I don't have a color printer, I copy the pictures and have them developed cheaply at WalMart and staple the picture to the pattern so I can retain the color - which works for me. So I needed to copy a much larger picture to be able to see the pattern clearly. Thanks again for your help....

If you still need a larger image, you can also visit Red Heart Yarn's website to see the original photo in a larger size. Hope that helps!

When you have the picture of the afghan on your screen, look down to the bottom right of your monitor. You should see 100% there somewhere. Left click on that and the page you are looking at should go to 125% click again and it should enlarge to 150%. That's as close as you're going to get. If you click on the150% it should go back to 100%. I agree, though, that there should be a way to zoom in on a section of the afghan in order to decide if you want to spend alot of time doing the pattern. Great site, though. Sunny

I, too, am having difficulty with the small pictures and happened to read the comments left on this problem BUT don't understand the following comments "You may click on the right hand corner and change the % of the item shown. The whole article, including the picture, will change size." Do you mean the "right hand corner" of the picture?? Now, I found I was able to go thru the View menu and enlarge the picture from there, which was OK, but is there a simpler way that I'm not seeing? Compliments on your website. I get so many patterns from it and appreciate every one of them. Thank you for caring enough to give "free" patterns. Love the e-Books too!!

I too wish the pictures were larger. You may click on the right hand corner and change the % of the item shown. The whole article, including the picture, will change size. My "old eyes" appreciate this option. LOL Hope this helps you enjoy the information.

your pictures of the afgahns are to small to see the patterns

Wish the pictures were more detailed.
