I have seen pencil toppers with all types of flowers on the desks of teachers, or the counters at banks and all types of stores but I have not seen a feather topped one. This would be a great project for a large group to complete as a take home project partly because it is so very different.

This would be a great desk top display. I love that the designer went way out and used color pencils and took the time to wrap the pencils with yarn to secure the feathers instead of just the usual tape. I like this project and it is so easy to complete.

This is such a fun and EASY craft to do with your older kids and young teens. You only need to be able to wrap yarn around a pencil and that is really all the expertise you will need. You'll have fun picking out your pencils to cover and choosing your yarn colors, too. These would make a good kid gift to Mom!
