Once you've made your cardboard loom, you can use it to make pom poms from scrap yarn! This tutorial from Carolyn Wainscott is a great way to use up leftover yarn, and pom poms make great embellishments for any project.

Instructions:

  1. Wind yarn on loom [20-40 turns] to create pompom as fluffy as you like.
     
  2. To make multiple pompoms- move down loom and repeat winding yarn.
     
  3. Tie in center of each pompom.
     
  4. Cut pompoms from loom.
     
  5. Trim.
