Record your thoughts and foster your creativity. Not sure where to start? Check out this fun craft from recycled materials brought to you by Heidi Borchers. No need to buy a fancy journal or notebook - learn how to make a mixed media and fabric journal instead. It's a great way to save money and use scraps.

To start, you'll need cardboard from an empty cereal box. You'll also have a chance to dip into your fabric stash and use up pieces you might have otherwise thrown away.
