How to Make a Fabric Mosaic on Canvas

Expand your crafty horizons and learn how to make a fabric mosaic on canvas from Tiffany Windsor. The bird depicted in this project is so cute - you'll want to include it in all of your projects. Easy fabric crafts are perfect for everyone from beginners to craft experts.

Start by painting the canvas with black acrylic paint and allow the entire surface to dry. Apply a double stick sheet to a piece of white fabric and cut both sheets so they are the same size. Pick fabric to use for the bird and apply a double-stick sheet to that as well. Cut out the image and remove the second side of the double stick sheet. Apply fabric to canvas and draw legs for the bird on the surface using erasable chalk. Begin cutting white fabric to create tiles and remove the backing from the double stick sheet. Begin laying each piece on the canvas. Add embellishments like beads for the eyes - this will help your bird stand out and come to life.
