Materials List

  • FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam Balls: 4”, 3” and 2-½”
  • Makin’s Clay® Air Dry Polymer Clay
  • White Acrylic Paint
  • Black Paint Pen
  • Flat Paint Brush
  • Rolling Pin
  • Non-Stick Mat

Project Instructions

  1. Roll out sections of clay large enough to wrap around the balls. Roll the clay out so it is thin and even. Wrap the clay around the balls. Trim excess clay from ball. Smooth seams where the clay overlaps. Let dry completely

  2. Paint the balls white and let dry. 

  3. Use the paint pen to embellish the balls with dots or spirals as desired.

These ornaments are quite unique and I have never seen this type offered project done quite this way! And the fact that they are shatterproof is nice, although I would think you still would have to take a bit of care in case they could crack a bit with temperature changes, storage conditions, etc. has anyone made these? You probably could glue on some little gems or buttons or even a small metalic rope around it for added fun! So pretty!
