All you need to create this dazzling Christmas card is felt, iron-on braids and a great imagination. This project is also fun to do with your kids, just make sure you do the ironing!

Starry Night Felt Christmas Card

Materials:

  • Blank card 4” x 5.5”
  • Star print paper
  • Green cardstock
  • Felt Tree Shape
  • Mrs. K’s Iron-On Medium #16 Braids: 6020, 6350, 6420, 6450
  • Teflon press cloth
  • Mini Iron or household iron

Steps:

  1. Turn your iron onto the highest heat setting and let it heat thoroughly.

  2. Cut your star and green papers to fit your card. Glue them to the card.

  3. Decorate the "grass" by ironing the silver thread in loops on your green paper. Lay the thread at a starting point, cover with Teflon Press Cloth, and press for several seconds until the thread adheres.

  4. Adhere your tree to the card. With the silver thread, make 3 wavy garlands.Trim the threads at the edge of the tree.

  5. Using the blues and green, make ornaments on the tree by coiling the thread in a circle until you have a solid ball shape.
