Denim Pocket Advent Calendar
I love to celebrate the countdown to Christmas with a lovely homemade advent calendar. This year I saved the pockets of all the families old jeans and used them to make a unique advent calendar that will last for years to come. This calendar was a lot easier to make than it looks. Denim can be really difficult to sew especially the thick bits like pockets, so I designed this advent calendar project to be NO-SEW. I put a sweet treat and cheesy Christmas joke into each pocket, to bring a smile to my kid's faces.

Clever use of denim pockets! If you are able to sew, denim isn't that hard to navigate with the proper needle size and sewing would make these a bit more sturdy, especially if you double stitch several times at the top edges where these posters would get the most stress from use. I could see this as a nice organizer for a teen's room or even in the car or van, clever idea!

I do have a stitched version on the blog. This is for those that don't have a sewing machine that can cope with denim. Stitching would be better but this has held up really well for the last couple of Christmas's. I think as long as you use the right glue you will be ok.
