My family likes to give ornaments as gifts at Christmas time, but I don't think I've ever made my own before. I will have to try this this year! What a great, personal touch )

I've actually made several of these and labeled them with "Baby's first Christmas" and given them as baby shower gifts. My personal favorite is a candy cane shaped salt dough ornament.

This will keep me busy for awhile. That box in my closet is going to get a lot of Christmas things added to it. The best part is that they all seem to be easy and inexpensive to make. Those are two of my favorite words since I am retired and live on a fixed income.

Wow! What a great write-up of ideas. I could make all of these all year, at the rate of maybe one a week. I would end up with so many ornaments to give away. I have to save this for later. Does anyone else like to make ornaments all year long?

I use mine to store my jewlery findings like jumprings and eyepins. I also store the small beads in them. Did no toothpicks fit in them perfectly.

I have seen the big pill bottles filled with candy or chocolate and new prescriptions added on the bottle for pretend medicine like happy pills or love potions chill pills with peppermint candies They come with made up instructions for taking them The ones I saw were at a church fund raiser and were not very creative Someone creative could make these very entertaining Also I use these for sorting out small items by wrapping tape around them until they can be taped together and still sit up straight without the lids In my medicine box I connect two rows across the box I keep medicine in This acts as a divider in the box and then I put tubes of Neosporin eye drops thermometers things like that in them Works great for inhalers I have also used them in my craft area for paint brushes paint pens things that normally…Read More fall over in a larger container Just put several in a larger container and they sit up straight and you can organize them if you need to Hope this helps
