Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Crochet Gauge6 scBL = 1.5” (4 cm) across with smaller hook.
13 HBdc = 4” (10 cm) across with larger hook.

Finished Size1-2 Years: 18” (46 cm) hat circumference x 7.5” (19 cm) length.

Materials List

  • King Cole Acorn Aran yarn (80% acrylic/20% wool, 3.5 oz/100 g, 216 yd/198 m) – 1 skein in 4955 Holly Berries, or approximately 150 yd/137 m in any medium weight, acrylic/wool blend yarn.
  • US Size I-9/5.5 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
  • US Size J-10/6 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
  • Bent tip yarn needle.
