Scrap Fabric Coaster Set

This Scrap Fabric Coaster Set from Lelanie Denso is a great way to use up any leftover fabric scraps that you may have lying around.  These fabric coasters make great gifts and, since they're fabric, can be easily washed.  This is a great gift for a new neighbor!

Materials:

  • 2 fabric pcs. 4.25" x 4.25"

Instructions:

  1. Get one of your fabric, with the interfacing on or the felt under it (on the wrong side).

  4. Get both fabrics together, right sides together inside, wrong sides outside.

  5. Sew straight stitches all along the sides 1/4" away from the edge, leaving 2"-2.5" unsewn.

I LOVE these! Thank you!!! :0) Similar to a Coaster Set I made for my boyfriend's sister - I featured them on one of my blog posts: :0) I used cotton flannel (with a fun "coffee/tea" motif) for mine - the link to see them is: http://my.opera.com/lyonvictor22/blog/2012/11/20/untied-for-lunch-place-mat
