Aqua Jet Necklace and Earrings

Create a tri-color glass set set of short necklace and lovely drop earrings from Katie Hacker. You can create this set in other color combinations, including black red silver, green purple gold or amber brown copper.

Aqua Jet Necklace and Earrings


Materials:

Necklace:

  • Beadalon 7 Strand beading wire, 54” length of .018” diameter black
  • 8 aqua 10mm round silver-lined glass beads
  • 7 aqua 8mm bicone glass beads
  • 30 black 6mm bicone glass beads
  • 15 black 8mm glass beads
  • 16 silver 6mm tube beads
  • 2 silver Beadalon crimp tubes
  • Silver toggle clasp
  • Beadalon Crimp Tool
  • Beadalon Wire Nipper

Earrings:

  • Beadalon 7 strand
  • Beading wire, 5” length of .018” diameter
  • 2 aqua 10mm round silver-lined glass beads
  • 2 Silver 6mm tube beads
  • 2 Beadalon Silver crimp beads
  • 2 Beadalon Silver crimp tubes
  • 2 silver ear wires
  • Beadalon Crimp Tool
  • Beadalon Wire Nipper

Steps:

Necklace:

  1. Cut the Beadalon 7 into three equal lengths. Hold the wires together and string a crimp tube and half of the clasp. Place the wires back through the crimp tube to attach the clasp. Crimp it.
     
  2. Hold the wires together and string a silver tube, round aqua bead and a silver tube. String a 6mm black bicone onto one strand, an 8mm bicone onto another strand and a 6mm bicone onto the last strand.
     
  3. Hold the wires together and string an aqua bicone. String a 6mm black bicone onto one strand, an 8mm bicone onto another strand and a 6mm bicone onto the last strand.
     
  4. Repeat Steps 2-3 seven more times as shown.
     
  5. String a crimp tube and half of the clasp. Place the wires back through the crimp tube to attach the clasp. Crimp it.

Earrings:

  1. Cut the Beadalon 7 wire in half.
     
  2. String a silver tube, aqua bead, silver tube and crimp bead onto one wire.
     
  3. Crimp the crimp bead on the wire end to hold the beads in place.
     
  4. String a crimp tube onto the other end of the wire.
     
  5. Place the wire through an earring and back inside the crimp tube. Crimp it.
     
  6. Repeat to make a matching earring.
