Hanging Stained Glass Mosaic

Decor craft ideas don't have to be boring or generic. Use colorful glass pebbles to create a Hanging Stained Glass Mosaic from Candace Jedrowicz that you can display in front of a window. When the sun shines through, the pebbles' colors truly stand out.

Hanging Stained Glass Mosaic

Instructions:

  • Dimensional frame – I used an 8″ x 8″
  • Colored glass pebbles
  • Eye screws – 4
  • Chain for hanging
  • Aleene’s Glass and Bead Glue
  • Metal letters for a message
  • Charms in complementary bead colors
  • Small glass tiles
  • Drill

Materials:

  1. Remove the inner frame that holds the glass in.

  2. Remove glass from the frame.

  3. Tape off 1/4″ on all four edges of the glass.

  4. Arrange the glass pebbles until you get the look that you want.

  5. Glue the pebbles in place.  Allow to dry.

  6. Drill two starter holes on the top and bottom of the frame.  I measured 2″ in from the edges.

  7. Glue and screw the eye screws in place.

  8. Add chain to both eye screws on the top.

  9. Add a 6″ chain from one eye screw to the other on the bottom.

  10. Add charms.

  11. Glue small tiles on the the inside corners of the frame.  I used 1/2″ square tiles.

  12. Place the glass back in the frame.

  13. Glue more tiles inside the frame on the other side of the glass.  Allow to dry.

  14. Hang in a window and enjoy!
