Fluffy Crocheted Cotton Candy Booties

Check out these fluffy crocheted candy booties! They are a free and adorable crochet baby boot pattern from Red Heart Yarn.


Boots should fit most babies 6-12 months.
Foot Length: 4"

Materials:

  • RED HEART® ―Buttercup™‖ 1.76 oz (50 g), 72 yd (66 m) balls: 1 ball 4274 Petal Pink Multi OR 4272 White Coral Multi
  • Crochet hook, 8mm [US L-11]
  • Yarn needle

Gauge: 9 sts = 4‖ in sc. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the specified gauge.

Special Stitch
hdc2tog = [Yarn over, insert hook in next stitch, yarn over and pull up loop] 2 times, yarn over and draw through all 5 loops on hook

Instructions:
BOOTIE (make 2)

Ch 8.
Round 1: Work 2 dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in next 4 ch, 6 dc in last ch, turn to work along opposite side of beginning ch, dc in next 4 ch, 3 dc in last ch, slip st in top of beginning ch to join.

Round 2: Ch 1, sc in back loops only in each st around, slip st in beginning ch to join.

Round 3: Ch 1, sc in next 5 sts, [hdc2tog] 4 times, sc in next 6 sts, slip st in beginning ch to join.

Round 4: Ch 1, sc in next 5 sts, [hdc2tog] 2 times, sc in next 6 sts, slip st in beginning ch to join.

Rounds 5-7: Ch 1, sc in each st around, slip st in beginning ch to join.

Round 8: Ch 1, slip st in each st around, slip st to beginning ch to join.

Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.

These will be so easy! Sometimes I need a project I can finish quickly to get a sense of accomplishment and get some practice before going on to something more advanced. I usually weave my ends in as I go instead of waiting to do them all at the end.

I like the fluffieness of these and I love beginner patterns.

First knitting or crocheting pattern I've ever tried because they all seem so daunting... this one was great as a beginner for me to follow and learn with.
