This feminine Cascading Potato Chip Scarf from Red Heart Yarn is a great way to learn to crochet.  Fashion scarves like this complement almost any outfit and are perfect for any season.  Mix and match colors to create scarves for all your friends.

Cascading Potato Chip Scarf

Materials:

  • RED HEART® “Sport”: 2 skeins 400 Grey Heather A; 1 skein 774 Light Raspberry B
  • Crochet Hook: 5mm [US H-8]
  • Yarn needle
     

Instructions:

  1. With A, ch 221.
     
  2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across – 220 sc.
     
  3. Row 2: Ch 2, turn, *2 hdc in next st, hdc in next st; repeat from * across – 330 hdc.
     
  4. Row 3: Ch 2, turn, *2 hdc in next st, hdc in next st; repeat from * to across – 495 sts.
     
  5. Row 4: Ch 2, turn, *2 hdc in next st, hdc in next st; repeat from * across to last st, hdc in last st – 742 sts.
     
  6. Row 5: Ch 2, turn, *2 hdc in next st, hdc in next st; repeat from * across – 1113 sts.
     
  7. Row 6: Change to B, ch 3, turn, dc in each st across.
     
  8. Fasten off.
     
  9. Weave in ends.

simple and easy to knit up...use larger needles and try different yarns combined...have fun!
