Looking for a project for a kids' camp? Purchase inexpensive visors from a craft store, then let the kids decorate them with beads, thread and tape.

Sparkle Visor Project for Kids

Materials:

  • Foam visor (from Michaels)
  • Kreinik Finishing Touches #12 Braid thread on cards: Baby Shower
  • 1" Treasure Trim roll
  • Diamond Beadlets

Steps:

  1. Apply tape to your visor in strips, and trim to the edges of the visor.

  2. Peel back the liner one strip at a time to embellish. Use your threads to make stripes, zigzags, or other designs on your tape.

  3. When finished embellishing, place your visor in a ziplock bag or shallow tray and pour diamond beadlets over the exposed tape. Swirl with your fingers to cover fully and tap to remove excess beadlets.

Kreinik threads available through needlework stores or www.kreinik.com.
