Another point to think about is delivery tracking. The "delivery confirmation" service offered by the USPS only tracks when your shipment enters and leaves their system. It is not intended to track each step of the shipment's travels. (This is information I got from my local post office.) While other package delivery services may cost more, they often include point-by-point tracking of the progress of your package. Just something to keep in mind!
