  • Red, green, or Holiday neckties
  • Sewing machine

Instructions

  1. First find the perfect layout for your ties. Mix patterns with solids and line them up side by side. Then, lay them skinny end to fat end and fat end to skinny end. Overlap the edges a little and pin together.

  2. Using your sewing machine stitch a straight line from one end to the other until all the edges are sewn down.

  3. Since the ties are cut on the bias the fibers will stretch and the runner will lay flat the longer you use it.

  4. And there you have it, a neck tie table runner perfect for the next family gathering. Thanks Dad!

I love table runners. I have a wood top table with some beautiful grains in it. I don't want to cover them. This way I can show off my table and still decorate it. I have a bunch of old ties from my dad that I can use. So I can add memories to this project too.
