Granny Square Crossbody

"If you love classic granny squares, this free crochet pattern is the perfect project to try.  In this blog post, I’m sharing an easy crochet pattern for a beautiful bag made from two classic granny squares joined together to create a timeless square design.  Whether you’re a beginner crocheter or have been making square bag patterns for years, this smaller bag is a great way to play with color and build confidence. This crochet granny project uses medium weight (size 4) worsted weight cotton yarn and a Size H (5.00 mm) mm hook, making it approachable for all skill levels.  You’ll work each square pattern in the round, placing 3 double crochet stitches in each space and building corners in every chain space and next ch-2 sp.  With a color change at the end of every round, you can use six shades total or create your own color combo using a main color and contrast color.  A great project to use yarn from your stash — especially if you love switching to a new color often. You can make the adult size (7 x 7") or a smaller granny version for kids (6 x 6"), and it’s easy to adjust by adding more or fewer rounds. "
