Have you got spring fever yet? If you’re a quilter, I know just the cure! Give your more time-consuming quilt projects a rest and stitch up a quick spring quilt to get you excited for the upcoming season. If you start now, while there are still snowflakes in the sky and ice on the streets, you’ll be done with your spring quilting projects by the time the first crocuses have come out of hiding. That’s why I’ve put together a collection of 24 Sweet Spring Quilt Patterns and Easter Sewing Projects from FaveQuilts.com. This list includes all of our favorite spring quilts, and it’s organized by motif so you can pick your favorite symbol of spring. Whether you’re fond of butterflies or birds, bunnies or Easter eggs, you’re sure to find a project you like in this collection! Of course, we’ve also got plenty of floral quilts as well. How could we have a list of spring quilt patterns without them?
Here’s a sneak preview of the projects you will find in our list of 24 Sweet Spring Quilt Patterns and Easter Sewing Projects:
My top pick from this list is the April Showers mug rug. Its clever use of printed fabric (flowers against a sky-blue background under the umbrella and a gray polka dot outside it) makes it an especially cheerful project for early spring. I also like the tutorial for making quilted carrots. Not only will they pair wonderfully with decorative Easter bunnies, but they are also a cute kitchen decoration all year round (they’ll do double duty in handmade centerpieces come Thanksgiving).
So what are you waiting for? Put away those tired dark fabrics and holiday novelty prints, and pull the pretty pastels out of your stash. It’s time to start quilting something bright and sunny for the new season ahead!
