My type of organization is knowing my address, everything else is up for grabs and hoping my wonderful husband who is an organizational whiz takes pity on me. lol
I just hope that anything I don’t really need will fall into that “black hole” in my craft room and not get spit back out until after the holidays.
I keep all of my gifts in one area.
I then label the boxes with someones’s name and also put small gifts in bags with their names on them.
I always make the gifts so list & post-its are a must…so long as I can find them…!
List, lists and more lists.
I start right after New Year’s day while I’m putting away holiday decorations. I keep a list of what my gifts were so that I don’t buy or make the same things. I spend the rest of the new year watching my FaveCrafts emails for new & fun things to make. About September I begin a journal with lists of names to send handmade Christmas card to, a list of co-workers to make gifts for and a list of my family members with last years list. I begin making cards, making craft items, and shopping for & making gifts. Thank you so much for the emails with wonderful ideas and giveaways. 🙂
I make lists and recap them every couple of days. I also have multiple calendars to make sure I know what needs to be done no matter where I am.(computer, phone, purse calendar, kindle, wall calendars, etc.)

I buy all year long so when it comes time to start wrapping gifts I sort everything into Avon boxes.
Start early, make a list (or lists)!
I start early with plenty of lists. I have a holiday planner that I carry in my purse that gives me room to write down sales, stores receipts, places for suggestions and what to buy. I have a holiday tote I keep filling year round so I take inventory and sometimes have very little else to buy. I shop sales; BOGO sales through the year. COUPONS_COUPONS! I also make a lot of gifts.
I am hopeless when it comes to organization. The best way for me to attempt it is to periodically clean my workspace and put my supplies away. This helps me stay clean and reminds me what products I have to craft with.

I stay organized by keeping things low key.
Oh, they don’t call them “Smart Phones” for nothing! I would be lost without mine! I calendar EVERYTHING! Set up reminders for everything, at 15 minute warnings.. And when I’m lying in bed at night and either think of something I need to get done I had forgotten about, or a good idea for a card design or even a great gift idea comes to mind, I grab my handy dandy phone, put in what I need to, so the next day if my “brain” doesn’t remember what I was thinking about the night before when all the kids are running amok and the dogs are barking, my “smart” phone always remembers for me!

I keep all lists of things needing to done, including projects in a notebook . I also organize some projects….like Christmas cards etc…by the date on the calendar, that way as date gets closer and project needs to be done I can keep track. I organize each different project I am working on in an individual tote to match the size of the project….Happy organizing!!!!
I try to keep track each year what I gave to who and what I received, especially if I re-gift something.
I am very organized always so all through the year, there is a place for just about everything so things can be put back. Not only to keep things in a neat order but also so we can remember where it is when it is needed. Just recently became disabled with, out of the blue health issues. I struggle with what I am going through but seen I have more time on my hands, doing crafts and sewing when I’m up to it to distract me from hard things I’m dealing with. Not as easy to clean, and all, and my memory isn’t great like it was. Keeping things neat, and in the same place always helps my family and I. More stuff we get, more creative ways I need to come up with for space; as we live in a smaller apartment. My husband and two small boys made me a sweet sewing/craft area in my small front hallway. They wanted me and my mess out of the kitchen. lol Also did it to help motivate me for a more positive outlook on things I am dealing with. I am just starting back into the crafts and it truly helps as well. It could be worse so I take one day at a time and I’m always smiling. I just wish I could find the things I put in the, “important stuff spot”, that I don’t want to lose but we can’t ever seem to remember where that spot was. LOL
This is the first year ever that I have actually got my shopping done this early. Usually I don’t have the means to even start until the middle of December. I am so excited!!
These would just make things even better.
I try to start all my plans and projects early. I use my monthly date planner and try to list something for each day up to the Holiday. Some days I fill the date with too many plans but if I don’t get every thing done I try to stay calm……. There’s always another day. LOL
I have my family make the lists- of the things they might like and where to get them. I have turned over lots of my “busy” Holiday work to my daughter and now I am taking the time to enjoy doing crafts and baking cookies. I have spent over 50 years doing the busy stuff so nowI have turned it over to my daughter who is MUCH more organized than than I am. With the gift list in hand, I take a couple of days to shop slowly and it has made Christmas a much happier time

Holiday organization means keeping it simple, yet filled with warmth. I make a number of my gifts, so the shopping is minimal. The entire family helps with food preparation and decorating.
Simple. Make a list. But then stick to the list. .leaving just a little time for last minute hitches.
I am always looking for ways to stay organized.that is why I am reading all of your answers. My new way of staying organized is to look at the organizing ideas on pintrest…..great ideas!

I rely on lists – things I need to do, gifts I have bought and need to buy, menus, etc.. Lists keep me from forgetting important things and/or people during the hectic times when it’s so easy to otherwise get stressed out trying to remember it all. Lists keep me on my toes and being able to check off things makes me feel some accomplishment which means I don’t feel so overwhelmed by everything.
I try use my planner and a seperate holiday only notebook but it always seems to get so crazy that I think I need to try a different method!
I really love the different projects that you show on here and love seeing new items that I have not seen before.
I am a huge fan of lists! I also make sure I set and stick to a budget. It makes it way less stressful. The biggie for me is making sure I wrap everything as soon as I get it home. That prevents me from having a huge stack of the to be wrapped items.

I am not an organized person..LOL I just put things where I can find them…
I just take a day at a time! Whatever happens happens! I’m organized to a point, but I take it all one day, one moment at a time. No real organization planned ahead.

I try to keep everything in labeled containers, so when a certain holiday is near, I just pull out those containers. When over, put back for the next year.
the way I organize is there is a place for everything and everything has a place lol I like to use recycle glass jars you know the ones like the cheese for the chips or the salsa jars. but I think im with some of these ladies I try to organize. what a great gift to win thanks for sharing
Organized? Hmmm, never experience that concept before.
I am a Spellbinders junkie. I keep organized by spreadsheets detailing my supplies and keeping like items together. I also keep track of my gifts that way so I can buy throughout late summer into winter.
I keep all my Christmas gift giving in baskets in a closet to keep it all together and separated by families and friends for easy access to gift giving.

I use a “tickle” file system. One box with 31 expanding slots. Each day has the things in it I need for that day. for example – bills to pay recipes for meals, shopping list for every day or events, etc.
I need major help organizing with little space. Used to think I was organized until I had to downsize my home due to divorce. ARRGGHHH !!!
I stay organized by having a Christmas task list and Christmas gifts purchased in my Blackberry…so helpful!
