I was stumbling along in the category of crafts when I came across this wonderful tutorial from Build/Make/Craft/Bake for making Hammerd Flower and Leaf Prints. Collecting flowers from my mother’s garden and pressing or drying them was one of my favorite hobbies growing up. Hammering leaves and flowers so that the natural dyes seep out onto paper is a great alternative way to to use flowers and leaves, perhaps before pressing or drying?
The leaves used for this print are “Japanese Maple” and aren’t they lovely? The author of the tutorial, Wendy remarks, “Ahh the beauty of brute force.” This funny conclusion got me thinking. Hammering something with the result of a pretty craft has to be the ultimate stress relief. Do we have any hammering crafts at FaveCrafts? Why yes we do (of course).

- Garden Girl Plant Stake– Is it as satisfying to hammer with an eraser? If the median is pliable enough to be hammered repeatedly by an eraser, definitely.
