The Most Popular Dog-Bo Obama

April 15, 2009 by FaveCrafts

There are so many crazy things going on in the world right now including the capturing and rescue of a Captain at sea, but one of the most talked about is the new dog in the White House. Named Bo, the six-month-old dog is popular by the entire United States. He is a Portuguese Water dog. My first thoughts were what the heck is a water dog? Apparently back in the day these dogs would help the fisherman by putting fish into nets and retrieving broken tackle or lost nets. So why would the President need a dog that goes after fish? I guess it’s supposed to be slightly hypoallergenic as well because one of Obama’s daughters has allergies, so this was the best dog. I am a dog lover, but this dog is very hairy. I’m not sure how it wouldn’t carry dander or pollen around. I hope they are happy with the dog they chose! If you are interested in getting a water dog check out this link http://www.bluegrace.com/pwdfaq.html It gives you facts. You should always be informed of any purchase before you make it. It could be a ruff one!

A good way for the Obama’s or YOU to treat your pet is to create a craft for it. A treat pail is a great way to show your dog you care and every time they see it they’ll know they’ve been a good dog. It’s easy, it’s crafty and you get to use your imagination with any scrapbook paper to put it together.  Our web site has great instructions on how to make this craft. http://www.favecrafts.com/Painting/Pet-Treat-Decorated-Pail. Treat your dog to some sweets!
