This beautiful spring garden tote project comes to us from Dorinda at Flower Girl Designs Collection. This bag is designed as a way to tote around your garden tools, but makes a great every day bag or gift for mom! Check out the complete two-part tutorial here.
As Mother’s Day approaches this upcoming weekend, I still can’t seem to decide what to get my mom. With the state of the current ecoonomy, she keeps saying not to spend a lot of money on her present this year. She obviously also doesn’t need anything, so what am I going to do? When I saw this homemade photo cube I knew it was the perfect solution to my problem. It is sophisticated, but it’s easy to make and won’t set you back too much money. If you’re busy and don’t have that much time to craft a Mother’s Day gift, you can put whatever amount of time you want into this present. Use old pictures you have already printed to save money or even print new photos off your computer. This is a perfect keepsake for Mom to put next to her bed at home, display in the family room or bring to her desk at work. Create this photo cube for an affordable and memorable Mother’s Day gift!
Mother’s Day is coming up fast and I still don’t know what to get my mom. She’s a great cook and I love all the food she makes. At Christmas-time she wears her snowman apron, so I thought for Mother’s Day why not make her a cute apron that says I love you! Every time she’s in the kitchen she has an excuse to wear it. It’s easy to make and you know she’ll like it since it was made with love! There’s also this cute cupcake apron for those with a sweet tooth.

A clever Mother’s Day guest project I’ve just posted at FaveCrafts will make you ask, “Why did I not think of this before??” Jennifer of Ramblings of a Crazy Woman turns old jewel cases (CD cases) into a hanging picture frame.
I love this simple gift idea because:
- Mothers do indeed love anything to do with pictures of their kids
- It recycles unused plastic, instead of adding to plastic waste.
- It will cost you next to nothing! You can use scrap fabric, ribbons or buttons to decorate the frames.
Go check this project out and let us know what you would use to decorate these frames. Ric-rac? Lace? Antique buttons?
We are excited to present a new eBook for Mother’s Day, put together completely with the contributions of some very talented craft bloggers. These bloggers have wonderful ideas for how to decorate your home for Mother’s Day and what to make for Mom. The eBook is of course FREE, as always at FaveCrafts, and the projects themselves will hardly break the bank. Show Mom how much you appreciate her with something from this collection.

I can’t wait to send my mum her crocheted ballet wrap sweater for her birthday/Mother’s Day (they are only a few days apart). I’m crocheting a cord to close the sweater, but I also found a lovely blue ribbon to match the yarn. I need to include a fantastic card in the package too. Of course, my first inclination is to make a card, such as this Lilac Bouquet Card (so pretty!), this Pretty Pansy Card or this For You Mom Card. If I run out of time, I also found a few goodies on Etsy.
