Here’s today’s post:
Sometimes trends just pass us by. We wake up to find that the once ever-so-popular trends of yesterday (Ugg boots, fanny packs, bell bottoms – yes, remember those?) are old news. Well, if you’re the kind of person that at least enjoys the attempt to keep up, (as I do) let’s explore today’s sewing trends.
As the editor of AllFreeSewing.com, I spend countless hours a week perusing sewing blogs, reading up on the latest news and coming to my own conclusions of what’s currently “trending”. A couple of weeks ago it seemed like you couldn’t hide from the Target frenzy caused by the new Missoni line. You hear Missoni, you see chevron – and boy was there chevron. If you missed your chance to snatch up the home decor or clothing pieces, check out this new homemade clutch which will deliver a similar look.
From the beginning of summer to now, I’ve seen tons of maxi skirts and dress patterns pop up all over the web. I’ve also come across women wearing these long skirts and dresses at work, at restaurants and just out and about. How could we not support a trend that allows us to look as chic as we are comfortable? Check out this new collection of DIY ideas.
