Guest Contribution: Pink Rabbit Witch for a girly Halloween!

As of late, I’ve been raving about the crochet amigurumi patterns we’ve been receiving from contributors. Today’s feature crochet amigurumi is from Sayjai Thawornsupacharoen of K and J Dolls who submitted this funny little pink rabbit witch monster – a confused character to say the least – but no less cute and cuddly! I love the variations on pink that steer away from the typical orange and black Halloween colors. This rabbit witch is a sure fire win for a girly Halloween surprise!

Sayjai says, “I was making a monster for my pattern shop K and J Dolls. My children said they liked the “rabbit”. For halloween I added a hat and broomstick. Is it a monster, rabbit or witch? I do not know but it is very cute.” We agree, but what do you think? Rabbit? Witch? Monster? Tell us which you think it is!

Sayjai has several other Halloween amigurumi patterns on her web site that really highlight her ability to make the cutest little people amigurumi too! My current favorite is this hippie girl!!

Oh amigurumi, how I love thee…

As we’ve mentioned previously, there’s a new category on Favecrafts.com made especially for the adorable little crochet critters known as amigurumi! Since it’s such a popular craft project, we thought it only appropriate to shine a spotlight on the little guys! We’ve had a great response from some readers who have taken the time to contribute a project of their own collection to our ever-expanding category of free crochet amigurumi patterns.

Diane Buyers for Stormy’z Crochet has several super cute amigurumi patterns, such as Freddy Froggy and Petunia the Turtle that she donated to our readers. At her web site, she offers several free patterns as well as patterns for sale at her etsy store.

Sherry for Chiwaluv Amigurumi Critters has a wide range of great amigurumi projects like these crochet Indian Corn and Squash and Gourds that are perfect for autumn decorations. Her etsy store has tons of other creative amigurumi patterns for purchase for every occasion imaginable.

Make sure you check out the new categories we have on FaveCrafts. We have Dolls and Teddy Bears and Crochet Amigurumi. These are such great crafts you should really check out. If you like dolls and teddy bears than these crafts are perfect for you. You can relive your past with your dollies or you can create them to collect. Our Amigurumi section is quite the popular category. If you are unsure of what Amigurumi means, it is is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. Amigurumi are typically cute animals (such as bears, rabbits, cats, dogs, etc.). We have a great collection for you to check out. I especially love the angel. And don’t forget about our doll section. Make yourself a reborn doll.

Cute Crochet Explosion: Buzz the Bee

June 29, 2009 by FaveCrafts Leave a Comment

His name is Buzz and he wants to live on your desk, maybe peeking out from some flowers to give you a smile.  He’s an amigurumi bee, more stuffing than stinger. Ok, perhaps I’m not very creative in the name department, but I just love this little guy. My boyfriend is absolutely obsessed with the idea of keeping bees someday so I think I’ll make him a few of these. Ya know, something to practice on. Check out the free Cute Bee Crochet Pattern.
