Now I’m as big a fan of glitter as much as the next overgrown and over-aged child, but I still can’t seem to keep it from getting all over my tabletop, face, dog, etc. It spreads faster than the chicken pox in a kindergarten classroom. That’s what’s so special about Zoom Creative Products. Their revolutionary line of Glitter Kits offers glitter sheets and double-sided tape that you can easily subject to your roughest and toughest punches and die cutting tools. Because Glitterfast sheets are so fine, they let you layer and incorporate intricate details into your designs. There are kits for kids and adults alike, so you and your child can get as crafty as you like without worrying about the cleaning consequences later. These are products that dry instantly, which makes for easy, fast and fun crafting.

If you don’t understand what I’m saying, it’s mess-free products and glitter application for half the price. Imagine how much your scrapbooks, homemade cards and decorations will benefit from these amazing products!

Ask Maria “Crafting When Short on Time and Money”

August 6, 2010 by Maria

Question

What crafts would you recommend for someone who is short on mney and time, but really wants to express her creative spirit?

Andy in FL

Time is always ticking and money always fleeting, I understand. My first thought, Andy, is the art of collage. True collage is done only with paper and there is plenty of free paper everywhere! A stash of junk mail, catalogs, party napkins, matchbooks, school flyers, and more can lead to hours and hours of creativity.

Here are some great sources of how-to for collage

WikiHow: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Collage

Creativity Portal: http://www.creativity-portal.com/howto/artscrafts/collage.html

Aisling D’Art: http://www.aisling.net/library/journaling/AJ2basics.htm

You can also explore Art Journaling, which is becoming very popular. You don’t need an expensive journal for this art form, any spiral or bound journal can be used to express yourself through words, drawings, sketches, marker watercoloring, and other inexpensive creativity.

How to Use an Art Journal

Expressing yourself creatively doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. You just need to add your imagination and spirit to a technique or medium you love.
