When purchasing a gift for a baby shower, many individuals hunt to find just the perfect gift that is something special. One way to give such a perfect gift is to consider choosing a gift that has been personalized just for the occasion. Of course, you don’t want a silly personalization such as a gift that has “this blanket was given to you by the world’s greatest aunt,” written on it, but you may want a gift that is personalized in such a special way that, 10 years later, remembering who the bearer of the gift was will be no problem.
There are many ways to personalize a gift for a baby shower. The first way to do this is to include the child’s name somewhere on the gift. This can be done via stenciling, embroidery, calligraphy, etc. Many items that make an ideal gift for an infant can easily be personalized in such a way, including wall art, quilts, hobby horses, and wagons. These items are not only easily personalized, but they are also objects that one may choose to keep over the years.
Perhaps the parents-to-be are in a specialized field, such as the restaurant industry. Wouldn’t it be the cutest thing if you presented them with a chef’s coat with the child’s name proudly displayed on it for the world to see? Maybe the parents are huge fans of a certain sports team. You can easily present the new baby with a gift such as a fleece blanket in that team’s colors with the child’s name on it. Who knows, maybe by giving that little bundle of joy such a personalized sports gift, you may be starting his or her athletic legacy!
Many parents may enjoy a personalized gift centered on a religious sentiment. Perhaps you can have the child’s name engraved into a bible or have the baby’s name and birth date placed on a plate with the Lord’s Prayer on it. Also, don’t forget shower gifts that can be bestowed upon the mother and father. You can get a personalized shirt for mom that says, “Big Princess” and then a onesie for the little one that reads “Little Princess.” Maybe the father-to-be would enjoy a shirt with the baby’s newborn picture on it that reads “Proud Dad,” or maybe even a tie that has the little one’s picture collage in it. Another gift idea that would be useful for both parents is to pick out just the perfect diaper bag and have it monogrammed with their last initial for a personalized effect. Ultimately, the best baby shower gifts are those that are sincere and given with love.
