Have you heard that Stitches Midwest is coming to Schaumburg, Il? This August 26-28, the public can enjoy three days of knitting classes with talented instructors and fellow enthusiastic knitters. Beyond the classes, there’s also a fashion show, student banquet and a yarn market where knitters can peruse and purchase exciting new wool from event sponsors and vendors. For a complete list of who is going to be there, check out the Stitches Midwest site.
Paid for classes are offered on a first come, first serve basis, so make sure to sign up early if any of them pique your interest. Classes can be purchased separately, but there are also package deals that combine class hours with other events. Learn how to incorporate simple crochet stitches into your knit projects, finally tackle the intricate entralac stitch, master the art of tailoring skirts and much more. For a full list of all the classes and events, you can find the Stitches Midwest Classes and Events Schedule here. Even though most of the classes have to be paid for, the show also has a free entrelac presentation and a learn how to knit session. In order to participate in the learn how to knit session (which lets you take home some free yarn), you must register ahead of time. Click on the photo below for more information:
