I love to crochet especially knit and sewing and my favorite patterns are making doll clothes and baby clothes.
I’ve been drawing, sewing, crocheting, crafting, painting and beading over the last 45+ years. I started out drawing when I was really young. Then I signed up for Home Economics class in high school and our teacher taught us how to sew. I loved sewing for others at Christmas time and birthdays. Then after I graduated high school, I had an older cousin teach me how to crochet. My first afghan was made out of wool yarn in the ripple pattern. It was very warm and I used it for many years until I shrank it trying to wash it. (I’m bad — too inexperienced as a homemaker. LOL) I’ve made more baby afghans, scarves and hats than I can count. Then I decided to take an oil painting class in the 80’s and have painted many canvas and lots of animal rocks. I’ve enjoyed gifting and selling many of my items at shows and flea markets during the years to make a little extra money. I really never made much money over the years but it always kept me in crafting money. I would suggest anyone to try new hobbies as it keeps life very interesting, you can give beautiful gifts people love and treasure, and it’s just plain fun. A couple of years ago I started beading and have made several necklaces and bracelets. Although I’ve given many as gifts, this is the first hobby I’ve actually kept quite a few things for myself. Good luck and have fun crafting!!
I love to crochet scarves, afghans, kitchen towels and dish cloths, I also like to make hats and shawls for my cancer center and also make hats and mittens for salvation army and homeless shelters. I also make la robes and afghans. Baby afghans. I just like to crochet most anything.
