Halloween is coming round the trepidatious corner. We must start preparing for all the ghouls and goblins that will be descending upon us. Arm yourself with hanging skeletons, carved pumpkins, and witches brooms. Don’t just be on the defensive, go on the offensive and gear up your troops. Clad them with masks, weapons, and armor. Okay, what I’m really trying to say is…it’s time to start thinking about Halloween decorations and costumes! Our new eBooks will help prepare you for any frightful happenings. 8 Halloween Kids Craft Ideas and 14 Halloween Costume Ideas to Make at Home will give you simple, fast, and budget friendly options for Halloween costumes and crafts.
I picked out two of my personal favorite crafting ideas from the eBook 8 Halloween Kids Craft Ideas.
The Tissue Ghost Wreath is the perfect project to make with little creatures…I mean children. It’s very cheap to make, essentially tissues and cotton balls, and the end result is really cute and something kids can be proud of. The friendly circle of ghost will surely ward off bad spirits.
My other favorite project is the Glow in the Dark Trick or Treat Tote, which can only be found in our eBook. This is such a neat idea. Draw eerie bats onto a tote that will glow brightly alongside a full moon. This trick-or-treat bag is much better than what I used, the old pillow case. And if any warlocks would dare to steal it, you would be sure to find them in the night.
I thought all of the costumes in the 14 Halloween Costume Ideas to Make at Home eBook were adorable. They’re not very spooky but if your little one wears them, they’ll warm even the coldest witch’s heart.
I’ll start by mentioning the Belle Dress. I loved being a princess as a kid and Belle’s dress was SO glamorous, I would have adored this costume when I was 4 or 5. My favorite things about it are the ruching and detailing. This makes it look authentic. Your little girl’s eyes will light up when she sees it, I know because mine would have!
About the Pebbles Flinstone Baby Costume, there’s only one thing I can say, my heart melted when I saw this picture.
The Homemade Mario Costume is ideal for a video game devotee. If you already have a pair of overalls it’s so cheap to make, but the end result is spot on. Send your child out in this and he or she will come back with a bag over flowing with starry treats.
Lastly, I adored the Harry Potter Dog Costume. This furry fellow looks so noble and proud to be in Gryffindor. This project can only be found in the eBook. The costume looks well thought out and fits nicely. If I had a dog, this costume would be his.

I have a question for all you readers that has generated much hot debate here in the office, should you or should you not dress up your animals on Halloween?
