Very nice! I have a pair of earrings and a bracelet that I wear often. I love being creative.
I have and wear a lot of handmade earrings. Both my own creations and one’s I have purchased from other crafters.
I have several different pieces of homemade jewelry. My favorites are the beaded bracelets, and the wire-and-bead rings that I make. They are both simple to make, and so beautiful too!
My beadeing skills are hardly past the kindergarten level of stringing one bead behind the other. I recently bought a book on beading so I could learn to make myself a decent pair of earrings to wear. It is a promise to myself promising that after I have a certain cist removed I was going to make a nice pair of earrings for me to wear – I am recovering from that operation now. So I have to learn to make them now – I’ve had the cist for 5 years and didn’t learn to do it yet – I guess because I never thought I’d get it removed. But alas it’s finally gone and I’m no worse for the wear – in fact I’m better, as they got it all and it was sent for analysis and it turned out to be benign. So better news there too. Now I have to learn to make something decent to wear as earrings.
I made a small square with PMC, added a little flower made from the clay from the center of the square, into which I put a purple stone. I love it and many other people love it.
The trellis yarn crocheted necklaces are super easy to wear – you can hardly feel them. I’ve added a few beads to some and other I just let the shimmer of the yarn show it off. I also added a jewelry type of closure so they look more upscale than the tied ones. I get compliments all the time.
Now I usually wear a pair of earrings I made; but, my grandfather used to go on trips across the country finding rare stones. He would then make them into jewelery. I had a gorgeous bracelet and pin he made but I passed those on to my daughters for their special occasions.
I like to make jewelry,& I like to wear it also.Love it when I get compliments.
I have a necklace that I crocheted quite a few years ago out of white pearl beads and mulit-colored crochet cotton. The necklace is in a continuous tube, and the pearls, since they are iridescent white, pick up the a little bit of the color of the cotton, although you don’t see much of the crochet cotton, and they’re like a rainbow of color!! I also did one with seed beads, which was a bit of a challenge. I always get compliments when I wear them.
My homemade peacock feather earrings with my crocheted bracelet made out of metallic threads to match. They are special to me because they are from my own hand raised peacock.
I love pearls!! I string pearls of all colors. Not into artificial ones.
Only real pearls from oysters and mollusks!
I love the texture the luster the hues of pearls! I have some from Tahiti- earrings and a single pearl!
My everyday earrings are a pair of simple pearl drops I made years ago. They go with everything and I love them!
I like looking at jewelry on other women – it delights the eye, but I can’t say I’ve ever gotten into wearing much myself. Maybe that’s because I never chose much for myself, or made it. Most of what I have was given to me, often hand me downs, or inexpensive stuff. I have found in the past that I have little tolerance for bracelets banging around on my wrists. What I like most are pins. They look pretty yet stay out of the way. Necklaces would be my second favorite. I don’t have pierced ears so I’ve never worn ear rings at all. Never had any interest at all in them. I think for the same reason I don’t want to wear bracelets; they seem annoying.
I love fused glass pieces, pendants and pins.
Years ago when crocheting pearl necklaces was popular I wore those all the time.
I really would love to start making jewelry…I already buy alot from other crafters
I wear a cross all the time, but I wear big jewelry, rings errings and necklaces, my sister made me abueatiful blue and orange necklace and erring set which I love dearly…dot
I lost one of my horses recently after 16 years together. A friend braided a bracelet for me from his tail hair. I treasure it as a memento of him and wear it always.
I wear homemade earing and necklaces that my mother in law makes
I have q bracelet I made with my son’s birthstone and his name that I like to wear when I dress up. I also have a very nice autism awareness necklace that gets a lot of wear!
I normally wear homemade earrings, necklaces and bracelets.
I have a box of matching beaded necklaces & earrings. I was tickled to figure out the cascade drop earrings. I like to do multiple stranded necklaces with a feature bead (glass or stone)I like to randomly conect the multiple strands so it stays together. I have a set in peaches & soft greens that I seem to pull most often from the pile.
I LOVE myseed bead necklaces, earrings and bracelets. My Great Grandmother taught me to make them. She even made me a beadloom like hers with wooden towels and small nails. And I have passed this love of beading to my kids kids.
I LOVE tigers eye and cats eye,I also LOVE suns moons and stars and I had this really neat sun pendant and i finaly found some purple cats eye beads with a necklace bead (3 hole) so I made a necklace and I never take it off
I’m about to be loving Flamingo Toe’s Anthro knock offs. My goodness how beautiful
Honestly, I really don’t wear a lot of jewerly, but occasionally wear the one necklace I made for myself.
I have an Ohio State bracelet that my husband got a friend of his to make me. LOVE IT – GO BUCKS!
I wear homemade earrings the most. I like unique jewelry
I hardly drop comments, but i did some searching and wound up here National Craft Month:
What homemade jewelry do you wear the most?. And I do have
a couple of questions for you if you don’t mind. Is it simply me or does it look as if like some of the comments look as if they are written by brain dead folks? 😛 And, if you are posting on additional online social sites, I would like to keep up with everything fresh you have to post. Could you make a list of all of your communal pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
