As experts and enthusiasts of all things crafty, FaveCrafts decided to host a special National Craft Month blog series for all of our lovely readers. Check back for a new blog post every day featuring our favorite projects, new craft videos, how-to’s from the FaveCrafts editors, and a GIGANTIC, ENORMOUS, AMAZING craft giveaway at the end of the month. That’s right–we’re giving away the biggest prize ever, a gift basket chock full of crafting goodies from our craft closet. There’s something for everyone in this gift basket.

Leave a comment below, and on any blog post labeled “National Craft Month” in the headline, and your comment will count as an entry into the giveaway. You are free to comment as often as once per blog post (for a total of 31 chances to win!). At the end of the month, we’ll pool all of the comments together and pick one lucky winner.

Since this week’s theme is sewing, I’ve gathered up some cool new sewing projects from around the web for you to enjoy. See what the sewing blogosphere is doing and use their tutorials yourself! Then leave a comment to enter the giveaway.

I am working on a cupcake quilt for my youngest granddaughter. The cupcake skirt would make a really nice gift to go along with the quilt. I would make it!

I love the owls and the cupcake skirt. Having a new granddaughter the cupcake skirt is a must for her, maybe when she is older. I would also make it in an adult size for a Trunk-n-Treat this fall at church. My trunk is going to be “Jesus is the sweetest gift I know.” and I am going to dress like a huge cupcake.

Love the colors in that skirt and also the little envelope clutch 🙂 I would make those. And the owl bookends, though I would add like a rock or something to make them heavy enough to withstand a few more books, maybe.

My 2 year old grandson is now pointing out facial features. I was looking at the owl patterns when he was visiting. He got so excited when he saw the hugh eyes! I asked him if he wanted me to make them for him and he said, “No!” and called them a meow. Which is 2 year old talk for yes and I am sure it is some kind of animal.
