Are you ready to be helpful? This week’s Help a Reader post features some interesting questions, one even involves a banana peel! So if you’re itching to help a fellow crafter-in-need, here’s this week’s Help a Reader request. If you can help or have any suggestions, please post your answer in the comments. Please try to supply instructions and/or links. Have fun! =)
I’m looking for a pattern I saw in a yarn shop in Moriches area in the 1970’s, 1980’s. The crocheted Christmas stocking was the face of Santa Claus with a loop stitch beard. Is there somewhere I can find this pattern?
I would like to know if you have a pattern of a jacket using a pair of jeans for the font and back, and another pair for the sides and sleeves.
I love your site, but am constantly looking for a pattern for a ‘banana peel’. 🙂 When I was in junior high (the 59s) we all wore a head covering with that name. It was knitted, about 4 inches wide, came over the head, and had ears, and had ties knitted or crocheted on to it. It was usually white, but they came out in tons of lovely colors with mittens to match. They went out of vogue when ‘high hair’; came in, but now that smoother hair styles are back, I would LOVE to have one to go shopping. They stick right in your pocket, are easy to whip on and off and look cute. Any ideas?
