Up until recently, I thought wreaths were just for Christmas. But now I realize that wreath-enthusiasts don’t have to hold back their affinity for wreaths in the warmer months! In fact, you don’t even have to wait for a holiday to hang a decorative wreath on your front door. You can put up a fun, homemade wreath just because! I decided to round up some of my favorite, summer-appropriate wreath projects from FaveCrafts in an article called 14 Summer Front Door Wreaths to Make. You should check out the article to find something to make for your door–summer is fast approaching!
My absolute favorite summer wreath is the Pretty Paper Pinwheel Wreath. Pinwheels are such a popular and trendy crafting motif right now, and they’re so easy to make too.
Another wreath that caught my eye was the Bright Gerbera Wreath. I love anything that can be referred to as “bright” or “colorful,” and this wreath certainly is! Gerbera daisies also happen to be my favorite flower of all time, so this wreath is basically perfect for me. I’d love to have it on my front door. Good thing we have instructions for how to make one!
What crafter isn’t obsessed with buttons these days? I’m no exception, so the Save Your Buttons wreath amazes me. Why? It’s covered in them! If you need to use up your button stash or you just want to decorate your door with buttons, this wreath is for you.
Out in the blogosphere, I found this beautiful yarn-wrapped wreath, complete with felt rosettes. This would be so cute to hang indoors as well.
This cute wreath has similar rosettes, but it also incorporates another craft trend–bunting! I’ve seen several bunting wreaths around the blogosphere this year, but I think this rainbow one might be my favorite.
And just to prove that a wreath can literally be made out of anything, we have the Happy Meal Toy Wreath from the talented Beckie at Infarrantly Creative. There’s something so cute about it–and you have to appreciate the kitsch factor. I don’t think I would have come up with the idea on my own.
