Ever since I can remember, Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. When I was little, I recall getting so excited to see all of my cousins and grandparents for our festive celebration. What I remember most, though, are Christmas stockings. Before leaving for my grandparent’s house on Christmas day, my mom would hang stockings on the mantel the night before. When she was sure that my brother and I were asleep, she’d stuff them full of goodies – chocolate, cd’s, scarves and fruit just to name a few things. It was always fun waking up to see all of the treats and little presents she left inside.
Do you hang stockings on the mantel for Christmas? If you haven’t in the past, it’s never too late to start a new tradition! The best part is that Christmas stockings are relatively easy Christmas crafts to put together. Even if you don’t want to use the stockings to hold random presents and stocking stuffers, they also make for great decorations during the holidays. At the very least, you could make a few to giveaway as gifts to your loved ones!
This Monday’s Quick and Crafty newsletter features over 20 of the cutest stocking patterns you could ever find. Here’s a sneak peak at a few of the patterns featured:
