There was so much to do and see at the CHA 2012 Summer Conference & Trade Show last week, but my favorite part had to be checking out the new Halloween lines all the craft companies were displaying! As we crafters know, you have to start planning your Halloween projects now if you want to be ready in time for the holiday. Here’s what new “spooktacular” craft supplies, projects, and merchandise you can look forward to this season!
The best Halloween display award of the CHA Show hands-down goes to DCWV. Their festive setup included dazzling decorated pumpkins, a spooky skeleton feast, a complete set of potions for all your dastardly cauldron concoctions, and more.
Of course, they also had their new Witches Brew and Halloween cardstock on display, as well as last season’s Midnight Spell cardstock collection–all equally eerie and perfect for scary scrapbooking. They even had some projects out for inspiration; my favorite was the festive hanging Halloween mobile!
Ellison had the new Tim Holtz Alterations Halloween dies on display which we can all look forward to seeing this season. They had a stunningly spooky little corner filled with paper craft projects that made my Halloween-loving heart palpitate with fear and delight.
One of my personal favorites at the show had to be October Afternoon‘s new Witch Hazel collection. This line of paper craft components and embellishments has an adorable vintage air that is so whimsical and charming. I fell in love instantly and wanted to take it all home with me!
Graphic 45‘s “Happy Haunting” corner was another fearsomely festive display not to be missed. Their alluring Halloween collection is another one with a vintage look that is eerily enchanting. They had plenty of project inspiration on display, including an old grandfather clock covered in their Halloween cardstock!
I was lucky enough to stumble upon the Petaloo display and check out their new Halloween collection of Dazzlers coming out next month. They had so many amazing displays demonstrating different ways to use these glittery embellishments, from shadowbox dioramas to a festive Halloween wreath!
Since the CHA Trade Show, visions of Jack-o-lanterns, skeletons, witches, and ghosts are dancing in my head. I can hardly wait ’til the air starts getting crisp and the leaves start changing so we can get our crafty hands on these stellar spooky Halloween collections!
