Say so long to Christmas Red, Ivy Green, and Snowflake White…this year, the colors of the season are electric!
Bright neon pinks, yellows, blues, greens, purples, and oranges were in abundance at this year’s Craft & Hobby Association trade show in our hometown of Chicago, IL. From vibrant Christmas cards to yarns that will take the afghan to new heights, this year’s biggest craft trend has to be the return of neon.
Hero Arts was all about this trend, showing off their bright and bold collection of Christmas and holiday cards. Made with new Neon Ink from Hero Arts, these cards are anything but average!
I just love this sweet hot pink snowman card! We got to play around with some of the Neon Inks at CHA and let me tell you, these colors are sure to make a statement. Electric yellows, pinks, and greens will add life and pizazz to any and all of your upcoming paper crafting projects!
Lion Brand and Premier Yarns were on the neon band wagon as well. Lion Brand’s new baby yarn even has a bright neon flair. Imagine the afghans you can make with this collection!
Premier Yarns also has a great collection of bright neon yarns. Mix and match these new colors to create one wardrobe accessory that is unique and fun.
And Christmas isn’t the only holiday that’s gearing up for new colors…Halloween is getting a makeover as well. Purple is the new black. Green is the new orange. And carving pumpkins is so last season.
Die Cuts with a View (DCWV) is all about reinventing Halloween. Not only was there no orange in sight, but all the pumpkins were blinged out with colorful jewels, decoupaged with lace, or wrapped in awesome neon fabric.
Check out these awesome pumpkins from DCWV, covered in ribbons, lace, and jewels:
