my 7 year old recently got super in to sewing (via nana!!) and she loves it! my old standby craft for the kids is the plastic beads that are put onto boards and ironed. They never get tired of that.

  2. Christie says

This time of year, my son and I make advent wreaths for the students in his Sunday school class. He loves the smell of the pine boughs, and looks forward to lighting the candles every week. We also make snowflake garlands! I have to say, though, that my favorite crafts involve his handprints, fingerprints or footprints. Any craft that records him at that very moment in time, is so genuine and special to me. It’s a record of my little baby growing into my little boy. These crafts I cherish.

My daughter and I love to make beaded ornaments with beads and pipecleaners. We make snowflakes, wreaths, and candycanes.

  13. sandra conner says

Crafts grow through the years as grandaughters grow through the years. You start with a tee shirt and the hand print paint, then comes the sponge paint, then comes the drawing and coloring in phase, then the applique embellishment, then machine embroidery designs. Then it’s time for grandaughter to start the process with her own daughter with memories forever.
