Mini Floral Wall Art

By: Tiffany Windsor

Brighten up your walls with a little dose of color. Homemade wall art ideas can transform a drab space and add a touch of fun. Make Mini Floral Wall Art from Tiffany Windsor using small canvases and paper flowers - they're easy to make and don't take all day to complete.

  • Aleene’s Tacky Dots
  • Mini canvas
  • Acrylic paints
  • Paint brush
  • Pencil with eraser (to make paint dots)
  • Lumiere Paint – Pearl Turquoise
  • Wet wipe
  • Fine line permanent marker – black
  • Paper flowers (from scrapbook department)

  1. I am using leftover art canvases from a project I made earlier this year.
  2. Wanting to change the color theme from pink/yellow to turquoise, I brushed over the painted canvas with Lumiere paint and then quickly wiped the color back with a wet wipe until I had the desired amount of paint coverage. Let canvas dry.
  3. Apply Aleene’s Tacky Dot to back of flower and press onto canvas. I like to center my flower slightly higher than center.
  4. Use pen to trace around outline of flower. Add several more sketch lines around flower. Don’t worry about being precise with these outlines. Add stem and leaf lines with pen.
  5. Display on a mini stand.
