Tin cans are cute and simple. You can find them very easily by collecting the coffee tins from your pantry. As for decorating them, the possibilities are endless, you can paint them, cover them with a crotchet cozy or burlap and some lace. It really depends on what you like but as long as you recycle some of these cans, you're on the right track.

I have bought some plants from the farmers market in these tin cans the large ones and they were real healthy and big. I never thought to put ribbon on the can and give as a gift or just put in my house. I keep some outside but drilled some small holes for drainage. I like this idea. They do make gifts and instead of buying a pot to put them in why not try to decorate with trim and do not forget about the rocks on the bottom. Cool idea.

Wow, this is such a cool and simple idea! I love how the metal of the tin is still visible - it gives the vase such a lovely shine against the burlap!

Cute project, easy to gather supplies, and customizable to any decor. I like when a project can come together quickly and with little effort. I also like that these can be left outide without having to worry about ruining an expensive pot or fabric-just switch them out when they get yucky looking. Thanks for sharing!
