Valentine's Cupcake DIY Garland

All you need to learn how to make garland for Valentine’s day is a handful of leftover, festive cupcake wrappers and a few other supplies. This Valentine’s Cupcake DIY Garland is the perfect recycled craft idea for your February festivities because it uses materials you already have laying around the house. Combine cute cupcake wrappers, coffee, filters, and the glitter of your choice to make an accent that is sure to put hearts in the eyes of your guests. This cute, easy garland idea could easily be transformed for another holiday with the right color cupcake wrappers, as well.

Materials List

  • Cupcake wrappers
  • Coffee filters
  • Paper straws
  • Baker's twine
  • Glitter ball embellishments
  • Scissors
  • Needle

How to Make a Wreath

  1. Thread the twine onto the needle.

  2. Begin adding on the bits of different supplies in variety of order.

  3. Cut the straws into smaller sections.

  4. Crumple the cupcake liners and coffee filters for more dimension.

  5. Add in variety of sizes and colors of glitter foam balls.

  6. Finish by cutting off at appropriate length and tie loops on each end to hang it from.
