Hottie Heart Pocket

Materials:

  • Doilies
  • Red hot hearts
  • Embroidery floss
  • Tapestry needle

Instructions:

  1. I cut out book pages with some love words and glued them on the doily.

  2. Then, I used a tapestry needle and laced it through the holes leaving an open portion to fill the doily with red hots and finished it off with a bow.

These are adorable, versatile, and so easy. I've had a hard time finding the paper doilies in the past, but I've seen them in the stores this year. The heavier weight felt or foam cutouts would be perfect for smaller hands. Use plastic lacing needles and yarn, and easily do enough for a classroom party in no time.

This will make a great 3rd grade party craft. The kids just experienced how to sew embroidery this past week. We even have alot of material left.

Cute!

cute idea. Fun to do with granddaughters Pat
