Candy Jar for You and Me

Create a cute candy jar to share with your sweetie on Valentine's day or Sweetest day. In only six easy steps you can have this jar filled with delicious little candies.
 

Materials:

• DecoArt Americana Gloss Enamels
  • DAG01 - White
  • DAG67 - Black
  • DAG265 - Tuscan Red
• Foam plate
• 3/4" masking tape
• Clear contact paper (adhesive)
• Scissors
• Ruler
• 6-3/4" X 4-3/8" glass canister with metal lid, Hobby Lobby #853820

Instructions:

1. Remove all stickers or labels from surfaces before painting.
    
2. Draw 1 3/4" and 2" hearts onto clear adhesive paper and cut out shapes.
    
3. Use masking tape to mark off 4 1/2" wide area on front of jar, aligning tape with bottom and top edge below rim; press edges down securely.
    
4. Refer to photo for position and adhere heart shapes to jar inside of masked area; press edges down securely.
    
5. Use pouncer and Tuscan Red to stamp layer of paint over inner edges of tape and over hearts to cover masked area with paint. Let dry and carefully remove heart stencils and tape.
    
6. Use round brush and Black to write "U" and "Me" on hearts; let dry.
    
7. Use end of brush handle dipped in White to dot over Tuscan Red area; let dry.
