OOLY Twisty Stix

OOLY Twisty Stix

Reviewed by , Editor,

Getting crafty is simple with this set of Twisty Stix Oil Pastels from OOLY. They are fun to draw with and you can even blend them together to create new colors and effects. Each of the oil pastels has a plastic barrel to keep hands clean while making your next masterpiece!

I love creating with oil pastels because they are soft and blendable. They can be quite messy, however, because you are generally gripping the pastel which gets on your hand. This design, allows the tip to move up and down out of a plastic barrel, shielding your hands. This design also keeps the point ready for action.

The variety of colors included in the 24-piece set cover a range of hues. The pastels blend wonderfully, so the color options are truly endless. Adding water is another way to manipulate the different tones. I particularly love how the colors pop when used on black or dark pages.

Kids, and adults alike, are sure to find this medium fun, therapeutic, and up to par for their drawings.
