Personalized Door Hangers

Sometimes we all just need our space.  With these Personalized Door Hangers, you can create as many door hangers as you'd like for mere pennies.  This makes a great gift for people of all ages, from sleeping babies to moody teens!

Doorknob Hanger

  • Mod Podge
  • Wood Hanger
  • Brush or sponge applicator
  • Paint to match image
  • Sand paper Image
  • Printer and paper

  1. Very lightly sand the edges of the hanger to prevent splinters and wood fibers from lifting up while working.
  2. Print two copies of the image, one for each side, if you will have identical images on the front and the back.
  3. Trace the hanger with the wood positioned over the paper image.  Cut away the excess so you now have a hanger made of paper.  Do the same with the second image.
  4. Read the Mod Podge directions for gluing the paper onto the wood.  Apply the glue with a brush, sponge applicator, or roller.  Be sure to smooth out any air bubbles.  Let the glue dry.
  5. As per the container instructions, apply 2 or 3 coats of sealer, letting them dry thoroughly between each coat.
