    Painting Very Fine Lines

Painting Very Fine Lines by Amy, Batavia, NY

Sometimes when I paint I need to add very intricate lines. The finest liner brush just won't cut it. Then I got an idea! I trim a small piece of a whisker from my dog! Just attach it with masking tape to a toothpick and there you have it: a single bristle brush! It is great for making "dots" also and no need to buy an expensive stylus.

You could also just use a single bristle from a larger paint brush - that way you don't have to mutilate the poor puppy! Or if you don't have a puppy with which to take a whisker from! (Actually, animals need their whiskers for many, many functions, so it's best to leave them be ) Thanks!)
