"This free knitted washcloth pattern brings together everything to love about hand knit washcloths. It's squishy and absorbent, extra pretty with that lovely lace inset, works well with variegated yarns, and all those little garter bumps make it extra scrubby for just the right amount of cleansing action. If you've been wanting to try knitting lace, this simple seven stitch repeat is a great way to start."

This is a great introduction to lace stitches. Why not put them in a dishcloth. You sometimes needs something pretty to do those dishes. This pattern will get added to my dishcloth pattern collection. I make them now instead of buying them. I learned to buy a better cotton though or else the colors fade. Thank you.

Eeeew!!! Yes!!! A practical way to practice knitting lace! I love the variegated colors and the difference that the lace inset gives the dish cloth. It seems like such a little thing probably to those of you who have been doing this forever but I've never used markers. That will be another new thing for me on these-besides the lace, of course. I'm sure the prettiness will make up for the amount of new work on my part.
