DIY Custom Hand Print Dish Towel

Customized Dish Towel Instructions

  1. Fold your towel and see where you want your handprint to be.

  2. Then unfold the towel and lay it on a flat surface.

  3. You or your child can then dip in the paint, or paint your hand. Lay the hand straight down, pressing the fingers and palm firmly to ensure the paint was transferred onto the towel.

Tip: If you paint your hand you can avoid a mess or dripping on the towel in unwanted areas by accident from having too much paint on your hand.

  4. Remove the hand by lifting straight up, avoiding smudges.

  5. Next, with a paint brush, touch up the areas that need to be filled in more, and clean up the lines.

  6. Allow this to dry overnight, add a ribbon, and give an amazing and unique gift to someone special!

This is such a simple and fast project to make with the kids to keep their hand prints for memories or to decorate their bathrooms to give it their personal touch. I love that you can decorate with your own colors and ribbon. These do not have to be used if you think they are rough just keep for the look. Nice video and tutorial.

This would be fun to do with the grandchildren. #NationalCraftMonth2017

I like the way it looks, but I'm not sure about the paint. I'd think it would leave a hard feeling design that wouldn't be very nice to use. #NationalCraftMonth2017

What a great idea for kids to make for gifts!! TFS!

#NationalCraftMonth2017 Kind of a cute project, but parents are usually trying to get handprints OUT of towels. Maybe another color wouldn't look so much like dirty hands had been there.

I'll have to link this one to my sister for her and her grandson to do, I don't have any little ones. #NationalCraftMonth2017

I have some little nephews whose parents and grandparents would love these! #NationalCraftMonth2017

#NationalCraftMonth2017 not practical, ok for decoration purposes only.

#NationalCraftMonth2017 Seems like an odd craft to me. Cute for a decorative towel, but must feel weird to actually use it with a painted hand-print on it.
