Instructions

  1. Paint lizard desired color (Some lizards come in the color that you want so if you like the base color of the lizard, there is no need to paint it.)

  2. Hold lizard by the tip of the tail and brush entire lizard with Tacky glue. Apply a nice smooth layer of glue so that you do not get any glitter clumps. You may have to back and touch up the tail where you are holding the lizard but you can do this after the first glitter application.

  3. Hold over paper plate, sprinkle entire lizard with glitter. Transfer to wax paper to let dry.

  4. When all glittering is complete and all the glue is dry, spray entire lizard with gloss sealer.

  5. Apply E-6000 to top of barrette.  Lay lizard on work surface with its belly side up. Press glued barrette onto belly of lizard. Use clothespins to hold barrette to lizard while glue dries.  Let glue dry completely.

  6. For added décor, wrap end of wire into swirl, add beads and wrap wire around lizard several times and secure in place. If you like, add rhinestones for more bling.
